The Frustration
When Familiar Techniques Stop Feeling Enough
Many therapists reach a point where effort is high, but results still feel inconsistent. Myofascial Release training is built for that exact moment.
What Practitioners Often Feel
You are working hard, but some chronic pain cases still plateau. Sessions can feel physically demanding, and familiar routines do not always create lasting change.
What This Training Starts Changing
You begin working with a clearer myofascial system, relying less on force and more on structure, precision, and techniques that feel easier on your body.
Results & Transformation
This Is Where Things Start To Click
The strongest shift is that treatment begins to feel clearer, more reliable, and more sustainable.
More Consistent Results
Treat chronic pain cases with more clarity and confidence instead of hoping familiar routines will be enough.
Better Clinical Understanding
Start understanding what you feel under your hands instead of second-guessing your treatment choices.
Less Physical Strain
Reduce unnecessary wear on hands, wrists, shoulders, and body by depending less on force and more on precision.
A Clearer System
Move away from scattered techniques and begin working with a more structured myofascial approach.

Inside MFR Level 1
What Will You Learn?
Myofascial Release Level 1 combines whole-body assessment with practical, hands-on techniques you can begin integrating into your treatments right away. You will learn to recognize fascial restrictions, understand how different areas of the body influence one another, and work with the tissue using slow, sustained myofascial techniques.
Whole-Body Assessment
Learn to evaluate posture, symmetry, position in space, and tissue-holding patterns so you can look beyond the area where your client feels pain.
Understanding & Feeling Fascia
Develop a better understanding of the fascial system and learn to recognize tissue restrictions and changes under your hands.
Superficial Fascial Techniques
Practice techniques such as J-strokes and strumming to begin reorganizing and releasing restrictions within the superficial fascia.
Spine, Trunk & Pelvis
Learn hands-on releases for the thoracic and lumbar regions, psoas, quadratus lumborum, pelvic fascia, and lumbosacral area.
Neck & Extremity Releases
Work with the neck, chest, arms, legs, hamstrings, quadriceps and other interconnected areas using sustained myofascial techniques.
Putting It All Together
Practice integrating assessment and treatment into a whole-body approach while continually observing and responding to your client's tissue response.
By the end of MFR Level 1: You will have a practical foundation for assessing the body as an interconnected fascial system and a collection of hands-on techniques you can begin incorporating into your clinical treatments.
Inside MFR Level 2
Take Your Myofascial Skills Further
Myofascial Release Level 2 builds on the techniques learned in Level 1 and moves into more advanced assessment and whole-body treatment. You will develop more advanced skills for assessing and treating the pelvis, following fascial patterns throughout the body, and working with deeper tissue-listening and unwinding techniques.
Pelvis & SI Joint Assessment
Learn to assess pelvic alignment and movement, identify dysfunction, and better understand how restrictions in the pelvis and SI joint can influence the rest of the body.
Pelvic Balancing Techniques
Explore assessment tests and non-thrust treatment techniques for restrictions involving the psoas, quadratus lumborum, ilium, pubic symphysis and surrounding pelvic structures.
Primary vs. Compensatory Restrictions
Learn to distinguish between primary fascial restrictions and compensatory patterns so treatment can address more than simply the area where symptoms are felt.
Advanced Tissue Listening & Unwinding
Develop your ability to follow the body's direction of ease, recognize regional and whole-body patterns, and work with more advanced fascial unwinding.
Head, Neck & Cranial Connections
Expand your treatment skills to include the head, neck, cranial base and dural tube as part of a more integrated whole-body myofascial approach.
Face, Orbital Area & Whole-Body Integration
Explore advanced work with the face and orbital area while incorporating therapeutic dialogue and whole-body unwinding into your treatment approach.
By the end of MFR Level 2: You will have a more advanced framework for assessing and treating interconnected fascial restrictions, balancing the pelvis, following whole-body patterns, and integrating advanced tissue listening and unwinding into your clinical treatments.

Your Instructor
Learn from Steve Heinrich, PT
Decades of clinical experience. Established myofascial foundations. A practical approach refined through years of hands-on practice.
Experience Behind the Training
Steve Heinrich’s approach to Myofascial Release draws from foundational MFR work developed by Carol Manheim, PT and John Barnes, PT. Steve studied extensively with John Barnes and spent many years as a paid teaching instructor in his system.
Over decades of clinical practice, Steve continued to expand and refine his approach through study with respected educators in physical therapy, dentistry, osteopathy and manual therapy, including Prof. Dr. Mariano Rocabado, Terry Tanaka, DDS, Rex Lowan, DO, and the Upledger Institute.
Today, the approach taught through Seminars for Health is distinctly Steve’s own: practical, clinically focused and centered on listening to the body rather than relying on force or rigid treatment protocols.
