Founded in 2011 by Linda Hoppe and Bob Cross, Seminars for Health (SFH) is a Canadian-based company that provides exceptional online and in-person continuing education for massage therapists. To date, SFH has trained over 20,000 massage therapists and healthcare providers worldwide, contributing to the improved well-being of thousands of patients.

I'm Jill Hooke, your Customer Service & Operations specialist. I'm here to support you and address any inquiries you may have. As the backbone of the company, I've been directly involved with Linda, the CEO, and play a crucial role in the growing Seminars for Health community. With 12 years of experience in Human Resources, I started my career in Calgary and continued in Australia, working in the HR departments of two large companies. My passion for the complementary health profession makes me a natural fit within the Seminars for Health team.
Hi, I am Lisa Gossen. With a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary, a diploma in Massage Therapy from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, and certification as a Holistic Nutritional Consultant from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, I bring a comprehensive depth of knowledge to my practice.
With 30 years in the health and wellness industry, I am committed to enhancing professional practices and standards for Massage Therapists and other health care practitioners. Currently, I serve as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Seminars for Health.
I am Mara Boaru, the Lead Course Developer and Senior Instructor at Seminars for Health, known for my precision and clear instruction. I created and instruct the SFH Intraoral TMJ with Precision Program and co-instruct the SFH Orthopedic Massage and Kinetic Massage and Target Muscle Release Certification programs. I provide superior instruction, explaining distinct specifics of finger placement to achieve the best treatment results. I have tremendous patience in teaching detailed anatomy and palpation skills. I am known for my attentiveness, humor, and approachable style, perfect for instructing intraoral palpation of a vulnerable and hidden area.

Hi, I am Bob Cross. With over 30 years in massage therapy education, I am a co-founder and course creator at Seminars for Health, where I have significantly shaped the industry. My experience includes roles as a Senior Instructor at Mount Royal University and Department Head at MaKami College. Known for my expertise in anatomy and teaching, I played a key role in Seminars for Health's accreditation to conduct gross anatomy sessions at Foothills Hospital's Cadaver Lab. My work has greatly impacted massage therapy education and left a lasting legacy in the field.
Hi, I am Steve Heinrich. I have been a physical therapist for over forty years, working in private practice, as a Rehabilitation Director for a regional hospital, and in Home Health. For more than thirty years, I've taught Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release seminars, including time as a senior clinical instructor with John Barnes. My articles on Craniosacral Therapy have been widely published and used in teaching materials.
I am Clarissa Eshleman, a Massage Therapist who completed the 2200 Hour Massage Therapy Program at Mount Royal University in 2013. Since joining Seminars for Health in 2016, I have advanced from a teaching assistant to an instructor, specializing in SFH DYNAMIC CUPPING™, Orthopedic Massage, TMJ, and Kinetic Massage.
Committed to continuous learning, I strive to enhance my skills and educate future healthcare practitioners. Passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle, I advocate for natural alternatives to address ailments, prevent injuries, and manage stress through the power of massage therapy.
Hi, I am Chris Slinn. I am an RMT and a certified Master Instructor for the SFH Kinetic Massage Certification Program at Seminars for Health. I am also a certified Egoscue Postural Alignment Therapist and SFH Kinetic and Orthopedic Massage Therapist. Since 2016, I have been practicing Massage Therapy and currently work in a chiropractic clinic in Calgary, addressing everyday pain, motor vehicle accidents, and structural conditions. I am a strong advocate for advanced education in Massage Therapy and a valuable asset to the SFH team.
I am Jocelyn Hansen, specialize in cervical treatments, headaches, and MVA rehabilitation. I effectively integrate SFH DYNAMIC CUPPING into my practice to help decompress tissues and support optimal client recovery. Understanding that each individual requires a personalized approach, I tailor my treatments to meet specific needs, enhanced by my Dynamic Cupping and Massage therapist. I am Cheryl Harsh, and I discovered my passion for health and wellness at a young age. After earning a 2200-hour Massage Therapy diploma from Mount Royal University in 2014, I worked in chiropractic and wellness centers specializing in lymph drainage therapy and as a mobile therapist in Calgary and Cochrane. I continuously invest in further education to develop my skills and believe in patient education to enhance well-being and quality of life. With a strong commitment to excellence and professionalism, my empathetic and nurturing nature is an asset to Seminars for Health.
I’m Tanya, and my early fascination with essential oils led me to become a Certified Aromatherapist, recognized by the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists. In 2020, I founded Flo Aromatherapy, where I craft high-quality products for massage therapists. Today, I create comprehensive courses to educate and inspire others in aromatherapy, with the goal of empowering practitioners to enhance their skills and enrich their practices.
Hi, I am Terry Dyson. I graduated from Foothills College of Massage in 2000 and have specialized in therapeutic massage for over 20 years, with 18 years of experience as a certified Paramedical Dermal Technician. I also studied Personal Fitness Training at Mount Royal University, earning my CSEP certification in 2011.
Passionate about body mechanics and movement, I focus on advancing the massage profession through continued education. Outside of work, I am a long-distance runner, cyclist, weight-lifter, and enjoy sewing, baking, hiking, and reading. I have two young adult children and dedicate my career to therapeutic styles and injury or pain reduction.
I am Mike Horne, a massage therapist with 21 years of experience and an instructor since 2003. I began teaching at ICT Northumberland College and CCMH Halifax and Calgary. My career spans cruise ships, international resorts, and establishing a training academy in the UK. Currently, I am a lead instructor at Mount Royal University’s Massage Therapy program and serve on the board of directors for the MTAA.
Hi, I am Kathleen. I am thrilled to join the Seminars for Health faculty and support our team of TAs. I graduated from MacEwan University's Massage Therapy program in 2015 and currently work in a physiotherapy clinic, treating a diverse range of patients. With training as a Physical and Occupational Therapy Assistant and a Bachelor of Arts, I bring a broad skillset to the role. My hobbies include weight lifting, kickboxing, and enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and snowshoeing. I am excited to contribute to Seminars for Health and be part of this dynamic team.
